Rebuild a raid device (reconstructs a degraded array):
[root@aixfvb01] /root > sisraidmgr -R -z 'pdisk0 pdisk1'
Resynchronizes array protection.
[root@aixfvb01] /root > sisraidmgr -Y -l hdisk1
Delete a raid disk:
[root@aixfvb01] /root > sisraidmgr -Dl sisioa0 -d hdisk0
Creates stand-alone physical disks. Delete a pdisk an reformat to convert to hdisk (take about 30min for a 145GB disk):

Format a SAS pdisk
[root@aixfvb01] /root > sissasraidmgr -F -z pdisk2

After replacing a disk, you don't see an available hdisk, it stays defined
Delete the array and recreate it
