===== IBM Spectrum Protect Plus =====

Do not confuse with Spectrum Protect. 

**Spectrum Protect Plus is a complete new appliance** dedicated for VM backup. Based on opensource technologies, it's a backup software designed for simplifying the life of backup administrator.

3 components that can be installed together or on separate servers or VM:
  * Master software: GUI, scheduler, catalog engine
  * VADP proxy
  * Vsnap: storage server repository

Master server is based on Linux CentOS, with MongoDB. Vsnap server is using ZFS filesystem with compression and deduplication.
