This is the recommended setting for all versions of Linux. In the dialog text box, type regedit and click Enter. In the registry browsing tool, locate the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Disk\TimeOutValue key. Confirm that the value for the key is 60 (decimal value). If necessary, change the value to 60.
